高中英语写作课教学设计

【内容摘要】高中英语书面表达在高考中测试的重点内容之一。事实上,写作教学在教学中并没有落实到位,依然是我们教学中的一个缺口。简言之,写作过程的各个环节困难重重得不到及时的解决,学生惧怕写作,看到满纸尽是红圈叉的批改倍感纠结。写作教学成了“教师难教,学生不会写”的死水区。现在,笔者就一堂英语写作教学的设计与同仁们交流,希望能给予读者写作教学方面的一些的启发和反思。

Analyze the structure of the following passage about a French scientist called Irene Curie

Most people know that Marie Curie was the first woman to win the Nobel Prize, and the first person to win it twice. However, few people know that she was also the mother of a Nobel Prize winner.
    Born in September, 1987, Irene Curie was the first of the Curies
two daughters. Along with nine other children whose parents were also famous scholars, Irene studied in their own school, and her mother was one of the teachers. She finished her high school education at the College of Sévigné in Paris.
    Irene entered the University of Paris in 1914 to prepare for a degree in mathematics and physics. When World War I began, Irene went to help her mother, who was using X-ray facilities
(设备) to help save the lives of wounded soldiers. Irene continued the work by developing X-ray facilities in military hospitals in France and Belgrum. Her services were recognized in the form of a Militarys Medal by the French government.
    In 1918, Irene became her mother
s assistant at the Curie Institute. In December 1924, Frederic Joliot joined the Institute, and Irene taught him the techniques required for his work. They soon fell in love and were married in 1926. Their daughter Helene was born in 1927 and their son Pierre five years later.
    Like her mother, Irene combined family and career. Like her mother, Irene was awarded a Nobel Prize, along with her husband, in 1935. Unfortunately, also like her mother, she developed leukemia because of her work with radioactivity
(辐射能). Irene Joliot-Curie died from leukemia on March 17, 1956.(2011年陕西高考英语阅读B)

Step 3:  Put the following sentences in the correct order to make a story about Bethune.  

Doctor Bethune was born in Graven Hurst, Ontario, Canada, whose grandfather was also a well-known doctor.

Bethune was shocked by the terrible life of the poor children, for whom he created a free art school in Montreal.

After graduation Bethune moved to Montreal, where he gave free medical care to poor people.

Dr Bethune died from blood poisoning in 1939 and was buried in Shijiazhuang, which is a long way from his homeland.

Bethune left for China in 1938, when the war between China and Japan was under way.

After Norman Bethune died Chairman Mao Zedong wrote an article in which Chairman Mao praised Bethunes excellent qualities.

Henry Norman Bethune was a Canadian doctor. He is known as Bai Qiu-en in China.

Step 5:  Task: Write a passage about your idol based on the information collected.
